GOAL
The goal of the Journal Watch Online CME Program is to provide
physicians with expedient, quality continuing medical education.
OBJECTIVES
The educational objectives of the Journal Watch Online CME Program
are to encourage participants to increase their knowledge of important
advances in all fields of medicine. By providing a surveillance of current
medical journals, the program stimulates physicians to read the original
articles in areas that are applicable to their practice. In addition,
this program is designed to help physicians apply gained knowledge to
the care and treatment of patients.
AUDIENCE
This program is designed for physicians and other clinicians who provide
patient care; who wish to advance their current knowledge of clinical
medicine; and who wish to keep abreast of advances in medical research.
CME CREDITS
The Massachusetts Medical Society designates this journal-based CME activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The Massachusetts Medical Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
AAFP CREDIT
This activity, Journal Watch Online, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 135.50 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP accreditation begins January 1, 2011. Term of approval is for one year from this date. Each exam is approved for .50 Prescribed credits. Credit may be claimed for one year from the date of each issue. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AAPA CREDIT
The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts Prescribed
credit from AAFP and AMA Category 1 CME credit for the PRA from organizations
accredited by ACCME.
